On Saturday, we assume Megan Fox went about her usual weekend routine: Skincare, maybe a workout, think about what she’ll have for dinner later this week, post an Instagram carousel of herself up in a tree in a string bikini, posing with a butterfly in her hair—just typical leisurely stuff.

“The forest is my oldest friend,” she captioned the shots, which feature her in an olive green two-piece. It would appear that Machine Gun Kelly is here for all of the above, commenting, “If this is what a wild animal looks like, I’d let it maul me,” on the post. The comment raised eyebrows as it follows months of breakup rumors and speculation.

Kelly and Fox have been in a relationship since 2020, making their Tattoo-2020-american-music-awards-red-carpet-coronavirus” target=”_blank”>first joint red carpet appearance at the AMAs that year. Things escalated from there, with the couple’s PDA of choice seeming to be a combination of bodily pawing and bodily fluids: When they got engaged in 2022, Kelly said that he designed Fox’s engagement ring “so if she tries to take it off, it hurts,” with thorns that will dig into her skin, and Fox casually dropping that “we do consume each other’s blood on occasion for ritual purposes only.”

So in February when Fox started dropping Lemonade lyrics and deleting Instagram posts of Kelly, questions swirled. Could it be that the couple that ritualistically drinks human blood together does not, in fact, stay together? And has someone checked to see how Pete Davidson is doing in all this?

Neither Kelly nor Fox has offered a public comment on their relationship—and whether they are in one—for months. Since reactivating her Instagram, Fox has only posted photos of herself to her grid, with only three exceptions: One clip promoting Expendables 4, and two posts featuring Kourtney Kardashian, one of which declares that “Kourtney and I are in love” as the two pose in front of urinals.

Vanity Fair has reached out to Kelly and Fox’s shared representative for comment.
