Emily Ratajkowski has a new man in her life. And while she isn’t ready to reveal his identity, she did confirm that he’s the first guy she’s dated since her ex-husband that she might really like.
The model appeared on an episode of the podcast Going Mental With Eileen Kelly released on March 9, two weeks before she and Harry Styles were spotted making out in Tokyo, Japan, in which she spoke about this “kind of great” man she’d recently started seeing. “I just started Dating someone that I think I like, so that is different,” she said. “But if you had been talking to me four weeks ago, absolutely. I would be seeing someone and then suddenly the way he would walk would be like, ugh.” Ratajkowski went on to reveal that the number one trait she is looking for in a potential partner is that they are “independent” as she already has a “full life” of her own. “I’m hoping that dating someone that has more of their own life will prevent the issues I had before,” she explained, seemingly alluding to the end of her marriage with Sebastian Bear-McClard, with whom she shares a 2-year-old son, Sylvester.
This revelation came shortly before a fan captured a video of Ratajkowski and Styles locking lips and dancing together in the streets of Tokyo last month, leading many to suspect that the pop star is in fact the “kind of great” man she was referring to. However, the Gone Girl star has been linked to a number of people over the past few months, any one of which could be the gentlemen in question, including comedians Pete Davidson and Eric André, as well as artist Jack Greer and DJ Orazio Rispo. And according to a source who spoke to Us Weekly, Ratajkowski still “isn’t looking for anything serious” after filing for divorce from her husband of four years in July 2022. “She’s just trying to live her best single life and have fun,” they explained.
As for Styles, four months ago he went through a breakup of his own, splitting from Olivia Wilde after almost two years of dating. In August 2022, he told Rolling Stone that living his life in the public eye has made having any sort of Relationship incredibly difficult. “I’ve never talked about my life away from work publicly and found that it’s benefited me positively,” he explained. “There’s always going to be a version of a narrative, and I think I just decided I wasn’t going to spend the time trying to correct it or redirect it in some way.” Addressing the conversation surrounding his sexuality, Styles added, “Sometimes people say, ‘You’ve only publicly been with women,’ and I don’t think I’ve publicly been with anyone. If someone takes a picture of you with someone, it doesn’t mean you’re choosing to have a public relationship or something…I think everyone, including myself, has your own journey with figuring out sexuality and getting more comfortable with it.”
