Why Did Cassie & Diddy break up?

Cassie and Diddy broke up for good in 2018. The two were a Couple after meeting in 2005 when she was 19. The two confirmed their relationship in 2012 when she posted him on her social media. The couple became on-and-off with rumors that they broke up emerging when a fight between them was recorded.

Cassies’s rep confirmed to the LoveBScott.com website that she and Combs broke up in 2018. “They are indeed no longer together and haven’t been for months,” the statement read.

Nearly five years later, Cassie released a statement when she filed a lawsuit against Diddy in November 2023 for sexual assault. “After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their Relationships. With the expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act fast approaching, it became clear that this was an opportunity to speak up about the trauma I have experienced and that I will be recovering from for the rest of my life,” Cassie said in a statement.

“Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,” said the rapper’s lawyer, Ben Brafman, in a statement. “For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.” The former couple settled the case the next day.

there have been four other women who’ve accused Diddy of similar offenses. A woman named Joie Dickerson-Neal alleged in a lawsuit Combs drugged her, sexually assaulted her, and secretly recorded the assault while she was a college student in 1991.

Another unnamed person accused the rapper of drugging and participating in a gang rape when the accuser was 17 years old. Combs has denied any wrongdoing.
