Venita Aspen hosted an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on her Instagram Story recently, where she responded to fans’ questions about her role on Southern Charm, her boyfriend Manny, and her friendship with Summer House cast member Ciara Miller.
Following January’s conclusion of Southern Charm season nine, Venita, 30, revealed her most and least favorite parts of being on television, shared what she loves most about her partner, and explained how her Relationship with fellow Bravolebrity Ciara, 28, came about.
A fan on Instagram asked Venita about her “fave/least fave parts of being on TV.”
“FAVE: It’s TV that’s the fave … it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I don’t take for granted,” she replied. “LEAST: People judging you off of one hour of screen time a week.”
As for her “favorite thing” about Manny, Venita first joked, “That he’s mine,” before referencing a verse from the Bible.
“Manny is the definition of 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8. Ya know the one that goes love is patience and kind it’s not self seeking not arrogant or rude etc. That’s him,” she gushed.
Another IG user asked Venita what made her want to do Southern Charm, saying, “You seem so normal and well adjusted.”
“Every friend group needs a peacemaker!” she shared. “I was excited when I was asked to be a friend of my first year. I took the chance to interview for that following season and received a full time role.”
Also on her Instagram Story, after a follower asked how her friendship with Ciara began, Venita revealed she was the first to reach out, via DM.
“I sent her a DM telling her I was on a show on Bravo and I was also excited for her being on one! … Now she has a permanent roommate and Jasper has another auntie,” Venita stated.
And, in an accompanying screenshot, she shared their initial DM exchange.
“Hey girl! I’m on a Bravo show this year too and just wanted to pop in and say hi! Excited for you :),” Venita had written in her first message to Ciara.
“Hello queen!!! Thank you so much for reaching out! Are you on Southern Charm?” Ciara asked.
“I am!” Venita confirmed. “I’m so excited to watch you on Summer House!”
Southern Charm is currently on hiatus.
