A PLACE in the Sun viewers have blasted a ‘nightmare’ Couple and claimed that the pair only went on the Channel 4 show for a free holiday.
The property series helps house hunters make the move abroad to sunny locations for a chance to find their ‘dream property’.

Firefighter Andy and water industry worker Elina dreamed of making a permanent move to Spain, but after the arrival of their grandchild, they decided to buy a holiday home instead that their whole family could enjoy for years to come.
During the A Place in The Sun episode, host Jean Johansson showed the couple, who had a budget of £85k, three different properties in Spain’s Costa Almería.
Unfortunately, none of the properties seemed to catch Andy and Elina’s attention.
However, the last apartment, which was located near the beach, seemed to pique Andy’s interest, but Elina seemed harder to impress.
Towards the end of the episode, where the guests usually make an offer on the property of their choice, Jean sat down with the couple to touch base.
The Channel 4 host said: “It’s such a big move, and it’s been a challenging search, but I think we got there in the end with that last property.
“I mean, you just looked smitten with the view,” to which Andy excitedly replied, “I love the view, it was stunning.
Addressing Elina, Jean said: “ Elina, you had your reservations, so where are you with that property now?
Elina responded: “I agree the view is lovely, the position is what we asked for, and the solariums better than I thought, bearing in mind I wanted ground floor, with a garden.”
Jean then asked the couple: “Have you made any decisions?” to which they replied, “I think we have.”
“What would you like to do?” quizzed the host.
Speaking for the pair, Andy said: “On this occasion, I don’t think we are going to make an offer.
Fans of the show were annoyed that that couple hadn’t made an offer on any of the properties and took to X(formerly Twitter) to vent, with one viewer writing: “Now upping budget … wasted my time watching .. I want a time refund! #aplaceinthesun.”
“Up your budget. Nice crafty holiday, though, and you got on the telly,” tweeted another.
A third user thought of the host as they typed: “Bet Jean is glad that one’s over. What a nightmare couple, her especially #aplaceinthesun.”
A fourth fumed: “Knew it f****** time wasters wanted a freebie #aplaceinthesun.”
While a fifth person chimed: “Not making an offer? I’m shocked. Nice free holiday, though. Timewasters. #aplaceinthesun.”
“She is possibly the most miserable, hard-faced house hunter I’ve seen on this show. What does she expect for £90k? #aplaceinthesun,” wrote someone else.
On a separate episode of A Place in the Sun, viewers were left unimpressed with a “miserable” house hunter who was looking to find her dream holiday home in Lanzarote.
During the episode, host Craig Rowe did his best to find primary school head Kirsty from Northern Ireland, a property that had everything she needed.
Kirsty brought along her friend Wendy to help her with the search, but on a budget of £120,000, it proved to be “a bit of a challenge” for Craig.
