Their relationship may have had its ups and downs over the years (find me a mother-in-law/daughter-in-law duo who hasn’t), but it seems Nicola Peltz and Victoria Beckham have never been more in sync.

After posing in a picture alongside her mother-in-law during Paris Fashion Week ‘fittings’ on Tuesday – causing fans to go into meltdown at the prospect of Nicola perhaps walking in Victoria’s latest Runway show on Friday –, the young actress then cemented her strong bond with the fashion designer as she stepped out hand-in-hand with husband Brooklyn wearing *the* Dolce & Gabbana biker jacket memorably worn by Victoria back in 2001.

A black leather piece with diagonal white and cerulean blue slashed stripes, it was a hero piece from the Italian label’s Spring/Summer 2001 collection and needs little styling.

In 2001 Victoria paired the statement jacket with low-rise, checked, bootcut jeans, a strappy sandal and sheer sunglasses to attend the Manchester United team parade alongside a two-year-old Brooklyn.

A mere twenty-three years later, that same Brooklyn stepped out alongside that same jacket worn by his now-wife.

Styled similarly, albeit with a little more edge, Nicola opted for a pair of straight-leg jeans, platform black boots and a dark, oval, skinny pair of sunglasses.

But it wasn’t only the Beckhams who’ve had their hands on this archival piece, with everyone from Naomi Campbell – who casually threw on the jacket for a Heathrow Airport – to Madonna and Jennifer Saunders all having worn the jacket back in 2001.

If it’s now Nicola’s, however, and she’s got her hands on the key to Victoria’s iconic fashion archive, we already can’t wait to see the next vintage look.
