If you’ve not checked your calendar – or your Instagram feed – for the last few days, let us alert you to a pretty major fashion event happening in our capital city right now in the form of London Fashion Week.

Although perhaps a slightly misleading title (it would more accurately have been called ‘London Fashion Five Days’ but that was less catchy) that’s the only thing you can expect to come up short across the city’s biannual sartorial showcase.

Welcoming some of the fashion industry’s biggest names – from Burberry to Erdem, JW Anderson, Roksanda and Simone Rocha – London is well-known for playing host to some of the most creative and innovative designers in the world across fashion week.

And this season is already proving no different, with many of our favourite brands showcasing some of their most exquisite Runway looks to date.

Of course, while London’s labels undeniably nail separates and layering every season, sitting front row over the last few days we couldn’t help but be distracted by something altogether more showstopping in the form of some seriously major dress moments.

Maybe it’s the effect of red carpet season, or maybe we’re just done with layering right now after what feels like an endless winter, but we’ve been swooning over the gowns and quite simply can’t wait for them to be given the awards season red carpet spin they deserve.

Or, in the case of Richard Quinn, the breathtaking wedding ceremony they were made for… Richard, if you’re looking for a volunteer, I’m more than happy to renew my vows?
