Up-and-coming LGTBQ and LatinX actor Brandon Delsid is currently burning up the screen playing one of Jennifer Lopez’s best friends in her new movie This is Me…Now (currently streaming on Amazon Prime.) We got to know more about this multi-talented actor when we put him in the hot seat for the Socialite Seven.
Who has been the biggest influence on you and why?
I’m going to say it was my grandma, who I call my honey, because she got me into acting and she has always been the person who’s pushed me and believed in me before anybody else ever did. And it was really special. She was down here with me this last week. And so, it was cool to share it with her.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
People who leave their laundry on the floor. I’m thinking of an ex-boyfriend.
If you weren’t an actor, what job would you want to do?
Maybe a lawyer…because I know there’s a lot of acting involved with that.
What superpower or talent would you like to wake up with tomorrow?
I would love to wake up with the superpower of being able to read people’s thoughts. I think that could be kind of intense, but I think it could be kind of interesting, too. But I’d like to be able to, like, turn it off. Like, have it, and then turn it off once in a while.
What are three things that you can’t live without?
Oh my gosh. Currently Real Housewives, my favorite Lotion – which is CeraVe moisturizing cream, and I’ll say my cell phone.
What are you most grateful for?
I’m grateful for hope. I’m grateful for having a hopeful spirit that the best is yet to come.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
The best piece of advice I’ve been given is to be the Beyoncé of your own life – and if you’re not being the Beyoncé of your own life, you’re doing something wrong.
