Kyle Richards admitted on Wednesday’s episode of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” that she needed Mauricio Umansky to put “more” effort into their relationship amid their marital problems.

“I think a lot of it has to do with us having a harder year, I expected more from him for what I was going through,” Richards told co-star and close friend Dorit Kemsley during a one-on-one lunch, seemingly referring to her tumultuous falling out with sister Kathy Hilton last year.

“Also probably, you know how he loves to go drink, and there’s a lot of business events where I’m supposed to go and be the wife and be supportive and sometimes it’s like, I don’t wanna go to these parties,” she continued.

Kemsley, 47, then candidly asked her how would she “sustain a marriage” considering they were going in different directions. Richards, 54, simply cried in response.

After composing herself, Richards told Kemsley, “I would be happy to be full-time in the mountains, you know, like doing the things I like to do.”

The actress — who has been sober for over a year — admitted in a confessional that she’s struggled with balancing her new non-drinking lifestyle with Umansky’s job as the co-founder of The Agency, a real estate firm.

“A big part of [his job] is putting yourself out there and being social, and I’m in a place where I don’t want to do that,” she said. “I mean I would much rather be home reading than going to an event, especially now that I don’t drink anymore.”

She also admitted, while choking up, “I think with the way my relationship is right now, I’m not happy. I’m sort of now working on myself inside, and I feel like he’s very focused on his work, so I feel like, in that aspect, we’re kind of like you know, growing in different directions.”

Richards added that she does “not want to wake up a few years down the road and be like, ‘Who are you? What are we supposed to talk about now?’”

Earlier on in the honest conversation, Kemsley asked Richards about her lifestyle changes, including being sober, Tattoos/”>getting tattoos and working out more.

“I feel like I need to be really clear right now about everything,” Richards explained.

Kemsley explained to Richards that she’s only bringing it up because, in the past, they’ve been able to “let loose” and “do silly things and have fun.”

Richards cried during the emotional conversation.

“But even that, before, I would’ve felt like, well I have to go drinks, because everybody expects that from me to go out and have fun, or I would pretend and order a club soda and pretend there was vodka in it and I don’t even feel like I need to do that anymore. This is who I am,” Richards said, before bluntly adding, “Just take it or leave it.”

During her own confessional, Kemsley argued that she thinks Richards’ lifestyle changes stemmed from wanting “more control over everything.”

Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais also questioned the changes in their own one-on-one interviews, with the designer chalking it up to a “mid-life crisis” and Beauvais admitting that she “misses the old Kyle.”

Richards has slowly eased into talking about her marital woes with Umansky, 53, on the current season of “RHOBH.” In earlier episodes, she admitted to wanting “space” from him, while the two also got into a few heated arguments.

Richards and Umansky each confirmed in September that they were separated after 27 years of marriage.

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
