John Fuda has a bone to pick with Bravo fans who looked into his past during season 13 of RHONJ and takes special aim at Teresa Giudice’s fans.

John Fuda, the husband of Real Housewives of New Jersey newbie Rachel Fuda, isn’t happy that Teresa Giudice‘s fans, whom he calls “Tre Stumps,” dug into his past as season 13 of the show was airing on Bravo earlier this year.

“I’ve read some bogus misinformation on Twitter, so I figured I’d give the facts!” the 35-year-old tells Page Six.

“I was never convicted, and charges were dismissed,” he insists. “Some of the online trolls tried to twist this information, stating this was the reason why I changed my name.”

The father of three goes on to claim that his name change had nothing to do with his checkered history and had everything to do with him wanting to carry on the Fuda name when marrying his wife, Rachel, in 2017.

“My last name is Fuda because after my parents’ divorce when I was a baby, my mother had immense support from her side of the family,” he explains. “My grandfather was a huge part of our lives and the father figure in mine. My mother even received a call from Paramus school one day asking her to correct my signature; I always wrote ‘Jonathan Fuda’ on my papers.”

John legally transitioned from Jonathan Ross D’Atria to Jonathan D’Atria Fuda in 2016.

“Before getting married [to Rachel] in January of 2017, I wanted to carry the name Fuda in honor of Joseph Fuda,” he adds.

According to John, he never would have appeared on the Real Housewives of New Jersey if he had something to hide.

“Some of the ‘Tre Stumps’ need to ask themselves if I wanted to hide my past, why did I make my former last name my middle name?” he questions, noting that he is “not ashamed of mistakes [he] made as a kid.”

“Some kids just need extra guidance, and I’m glad to have learned from being a kid and have a beautiful family and business now,”  he points out, adding that he is “forever grateful for the resilience and support [he has] received” after getting into trouble 15 years ago.

Per records, John Fuda was arrested in 2008 for operating a motor vehicle while in possession of a narcotic. At the time of his arrest, John was 20 years old. He was also already a father to his now sixteen-year-old son, Jaiden Fuda, with ex-Brittany Malsch.
