It’s been two weeks since SAG-AFTRA joined Hollywood’s writers on strike, sending some of the biggest stars like Jason Sudeikis, Susan Sarandon, and Colin Farrell to the picket lines. Since Day 1, there has been a bit of royal representation too, in the form of Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, the oldest daughter of Monaco’s Prince Albert. Grimaldi has been a working actor since 2016 and has appeared in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and the 2020 film Cicada, and she has been documenting experiences from her “hot picket summer” on her Instagram account.

In one post, she shared a montage of the first day of the strike set to the song “We’re Not Gonna Take It” by Twisted Sister. “Thank you to our fearless union and @sagaftra leaders and community of fellow creatives who are rising to the occasion to fight for real and necessary change,” she captioned the post. “I’m proud to be a part of this incredible community.”

As Prince Albert’s daughter, Grimaldi is the granddaughter of Grace Kelly, the screen star who became a princess when she married Monaco’s Prince Rainier in 1956. Because Albert was not married to Grimaldi’s mother, she is not in line for the Monagasque throne, unlike her younger half-siblings, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.

In June, Grimaldi and her longtime boyfriend Ian Mellencamp made an appearance at the Monte Carlo TV Festival in the European principality. Amid her strike posts, she shared photos from her trip to the continent with the caption, “Mentally I’m still abroad.”

Prince Albert was last spotted on a trip to Belgium for the country’s National Day celebrations, days after the Palais Princier posted a photo of the prince enjoying dinner with his wife, Princess Charlene. Earlier this month, he traveled to England to catch a match in the royal box at Wimbledon, where he sat next to Ian Hewitt, chairman of the Wimbledon Foundation and vice chairman of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
