Love is Blind actor Zack Goytowski revealed just how far he was willing to go for his love Bliss Poureetezadi.
For him, the answer is that he was willing to overcome his allergies to her pets.
If you were unaware, the Couple fell in love on the most recent season of the popular Netflix series. They got married in May 2022. However, they ran into a problem when they started cohabitating – Zack was allergic to his wife’s pet cat and dog.
He opened up about the “rollercoaster of a journey” that they embarked on to make things better.

“From my childhood, I’ve had allergies to anything with fur, but it’s the allergies to cats, dogs, and horses that really shut my breathing down,” he wrote alongside several photos of the couple with their fur babies on Instagram. “After Bliss and I got married, we knew we wanted to share our home with these amazing creatures, but my allergies were off the charts.”
Zack continued, saying he “had an allergy attack that left me gasping for air” on his first night in her house. After seeing a professional, he learned that he had “allergy-induced asthma” and explained that his “animal allergies were actually threatening my ability to breathe.”
Bliss rehomed her pets with her mom and sister, but that’s not the end of the story!
“You can’t stop love. We were determined to find a way to bring them home, to make our family complete,” he wrote. “So, we embarked on this colossal undertaking of almost a year of immunotherapy, going to the doctor and getting allergy shots twice a week. It was tough. But love pushes you to do things you never thought possible. I really never thought this would be possible but I had to try for Bliss.”
Happily, they were successful and were able to bring their pets home.
“Seeing that joy in her eyes makes every moment of this challenging journey worth it,” Zack added.
