Kyle Richards Justifies Removing Mauricio Umansky’s Wedding Ring Amid Affair Rumors

Kyle Richards doubled down after fans viewed her decision to ditch her wedding ring back in February as a sign that her marriage was on the rocks.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star addressed her ringless hand during an Amazon Live on Monday, insisting that it had “nothing” to do with the marital issues between herself and husband, Mauricio Umansky.  

“People must assume now, ‘Oh, because Kyle and Mauricio have been going through a hard time, that’s why I didn’t have my ring on,’” she said during the online chat session.

Kyle Richards went on to blame her weightlifting routine after she was snapped without her sparkler, in February. 

“That’s not why I didn’t have my ring on,” the reality star explained. “[That] will bend the ring, ruin the ring, and it hurts. I take the ring off when I’m lifting weights.”

Kyle Richards acknowledged that the paparazzi photos “sparked a lot of stuff” about her marriage to the real estate mogul, amid RHOBH filming season. 

The 54-year-old previously told Page Six that the pics raised questions about her marriage even among her co-stars. Kyle also referenced the “crime these days” as to why she had been spotted without her ring, in her April interview. 

“When this stuff would come up before, I would, like, cry, and I was devastated,” she said. “But now, I’m more like, ‘OK, I’ve done this before. Let’s do this. Bring it on. Come on. Let’s see what you got for me here.’”

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky met at a nightclub and tied the knot two years later, in 1996. The Couple shares three daughters together, Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15. Kyle also has a 34-year-old daughter, Farrah, from her marriage to first husband, Guraish Aldjufrie.

The power duo denied that a divorce was in the works only hours after the news of their breakup hit the press. The couple posted a joint statement on Instagram, only admitting that they had experienced a “rough year.”

Kyle and Mauricio have continued to swap friendly banter on social media amid the swirling rumors, including a claim that Kyle had moved on with country music artist, Morgan Wade. Kyle shot down the rumor, asserting that she shared only a friendship with the singer.  

Meanwhile, RHOBH production wasted no time jumping back into action in order to capture the aftermath of the bombshell split for Season 13.  

A production source told the US Sun — “Kyle and Mauricio’s marriage problems are discussed on the show this upcoming season. It was impossible to ignore everything that was happening with Kyle, privately and publicly.”

The insider revealed — “The cast talks about all the fan speculation of a split that began months ago on social media.”
