Barbie is undeniably one of the most glamorous icons of all time, and we’ve got some great news if you’re looking to cop her style when you head to theaters to watch Margot Robbie bring her to life in Greta Gerwig‘s new blockbuster: Whether she’s delivering classic beauty or putting a more colorful spin on her Makeup, a couple of new products are all you need to channel Barbie’s Glam.

The best news is that you can pick them up at any price point!

We pulled together a couple of glam items that we can absolutely imagine Barbie having within easy reach at her vanity and some handy tips about how to use them. Fun fact: Some of the things on this list were even created in collaboration with Barbie hereself.

Head inside to check out some beauty items that we just know are Barbie-approved…

Let’s start with a collection that we already know Barbie approves of; it comes from fan-favorite indie beauty brand Glamlite. Known for their highly pigmented eyeshadows and clever releases (including a best-selling collaboration with Chucky), Glamlite linked up with Barbie to create some must-have items.

The centerpiece of the collection is a 24-pan eyeshadow palette ($40) that features no shortage of flirty pinks, dreamy blues and summery yellows. The brand’s mattes blend like a dream, and their shimmers pack a punch, especially when applied with a dampened brush or over a glitter primer (our favorite glitter primer is from Nyx and only costs $6.50).

Glamlite‘s Barbie collection also includes a glow oil ($18) and several lip kits that will work in any occasion.

The entire collection was just recently re-stocked and we totally recommend picking up a couple of pieces.

If you’re ideal Barbie look is all about rosy tones and luxury, then Pat McGrath is the brand for you. Created by beauty icon Pat McGrath, the line has been used on celebrities from Kacey Musgraves to Doja Cat and Lil Nas X.

In fact, Kacey used the line’s Mothership IX: Huetopian Dream eyeshadow palette ($128) to create the epitome of a Barbie-approved look for the 2021 VMAs. The 10-pan palette boasts buttery mattes and some of the glimmeriest shadows in Pat’s collection.

Fun fact: The final quad in all of Pat McGrath‘s Mothership palettes are referred to as Special Shades by her fans and come in a variety of formulas. They often feature otherworldly glitters and some extra-special colors. In our experience, they apply best with a damp brush or over glitter glue.

On the topic of Motherships, Mothership VII Divine Rose is the ideal option if you’re looking for something a little more understated and rosy on the eyes; Mothership VIII Divine Rose II packs a bit more punch and blends pink tones with luxurious golds and bronzes.

Pat McGrath‘s newly released Divine Blush: Colour Balm Collection ($29) can provide a healthy blush to your cheeks and lips. The collection (seen above) included the Passion Fleur Luxe Eyeshadow Quad ($62), which is all you need for a smokey eye with a dazzling pop of color on the lid.

Liquid lips are trending again for summer of 2023, and the Jeffree Star Cosmetics line, created by Jeffree Star, is where you want to go for a formula that dries down and doesn’t budge all night long.

A Velour Liquid Lipstick from the brand will set you back $18. Shade Dreamhouse, a metallic pink, looks like it would be in heavy rotation for Barbie. Mannequin is a solid nude option, and there are so many other options to choose from.

If you like to get multiple uses out of a beauty product in your collection, you’ll love to know that these are eye safe and can be used to create a bold graphic liner or as a base for shadows. One of the special shades from Pat McGrath’s Mothership palettes would take Dreamhouse to the next level if used in a cut crease!

Speaking of graphic eyeliner, Halsey‘s about-face beauty has our favorite product for pulling off a colorful look with sharp lines. The brand’s Matte Fluid Eye Paint ($16) can be applied with a brush in intricate designs and comes in so many perfect colors. The brand’s Fractal Glitter Eye Paint ($16) can be used to bring a bit more sparkle to the eye!

With both products, about-face’s Shadow Fix Eye Primer will ensure longevity so that you can rest assured knowing that your hard work won’t fade or flake off anytime soon.

If liquid lipsticks aren’t your style, and you’re looking for a juicier gloss on the lips, check out the brand’s Cherry Pick Lip Color Butter ($15). The product comes in a variety of colors and provides the perfect color and nourishing feel to your lips.

Another brand that has worked with Barbie before is ColourPop Cosmetics. While the collection is sold out, the affordable line sells so many other products that Barbie would want to have within reach.

For instance, The Super Shock Highlighter ($9) comes in a multitude of shades and can be applied with a finger of a brush for some sparkle on the cheeks. We love the Super Shock Blush ($9) every bit as much and apply it the same way.

Speaking of highlighters, Rihanna‘s Fenty Beauty is a must-have if you love a glowy cheek. The Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter packs a punch and can be used on the cheeks or in the inner corner of your eyes to open them up. Shade Wattabrat ($40) is a Barbie pink that can double as a blush topper depending on your skin tone.

If you’re looking for a colorful eyeshadow palette that won’t break the bank, our favorite recommendation is going to be the formula from Juvia’s Place. The Sweet Pinks six-pan palette ($15) features some of the brightest pinks on the market. The Nudes palette will give you some more neutral tones.

Another fantastic option is from RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Kim Chi‘s line KimChi Chic Beauty. A favorite of ours is the brand’s The Happy Palette ($28), which features all of the colorful and neutral shadows you’d need for a fun look. Most of the shimmers are a luxe satiny formula that compliment the eye, but some pack a little extra glimmer to take your look to the next level.

The newly released Donut Collection (seen below) also boasts a variety of textures, finishes and color schemes. We could easily imagine any of them working in Barbie’s collection.

Fun Fact: We just interviewed Kim Chi about her line and got some helpful tips about how to use the products.

Barbie premieres in theaters on July 21. Press play on the trailer below! Did you know that the movie’s set caused a shortage that you might have experienced at your local home improvement store?
