Avery Singer Says She Lost Out on Jobs Due to Mom Ramona

Ramona Singer’s daughter Avery Singer shared the business advice her mother gave her, shaded Bravo kids who “ride” their moms’ “coattails,” and revealed she couldn’t get certain jobs due to her association with reality TV.

Fans of the Real Housewives of New York first saw Avery as a 12-year-old child, sharing her wise opinions about the behavior of her larger-than-life mom – who recently filmed with former cast members for Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.

Speaking on the Behind The Velvet Rope podcast, Avery revealed some business advice her mom gave her.

“My mom always says that, as long as you love what you do, money will come,” said Avery, who recently started her BachBoss company. “And my mom has always said, Avery, you’re on your own path. Don’t look left, don’t look right, [and] don’t compare yourself to people.”

Addressing the accusation that Avery is a ‘nepo baby,’ the 28-year-old expressed, “Everyone will come at you for certain things and especially growing up in New York City … but there are some people that have everything given to them and they end up in rehab … I’m always a hard worker.”

She went on to say, “I’m self-aware, I know that because of my mom, I have a leg up, but I also [have] been on TV for almost 15 years, and I’ve never really leveraged it for anything in my life so if I’m gonna start, when we’re going out down for the count, I’m gonna do it [for my] business.”

Avery shaded other Bravo kids for riding their parents’ coattails.

“There’s so many Bravo kids that ride their moms’ coattails that are like a wannabe Kylie Jenner, all duck-faced, posting. Like sure, I’ve done maybe a Couple here or there. I do not post inappropriate pics. Like that’s not me, and I have taken a backseat from the show for an extremely long time because I worked at Morgan Stanley,” she said. “Like, most of my finance career, I couldn’t get jobs because of me being associated with the TV. Like, people think that, ‘Oh, you’re lucky.’ No, are you kidding me? Like, I’m always the girl that’s like, ‘Her mom’s on reality TV, like, she must suck.’”

The star added, “You don’t know me. You don’t know my life … It’s really freaking tough.”
