MARNIE Swindells has become Lord Alan Sugar’s latest business partner.

The court advocate and gold medal-winning boxer beat fellow finalist Rochelle Anthony, which means she will now receive a £250,000 investment for her boxing gym business.

Who is Marnie Swindells?

Marnie Swindells was one of 18 candidates who took part in The Apprentice season 17.

She was born in London, where she still lives, in June 1994.

In 2015, she won the Haringey Box Cup against Zoe Woodley.

The 28-year-old is described by the BBC as being an “imaginative businesswoman”.

What is Marnie Swindells’ day job?

When filming for The Apprentice season 17 began in the summer of 2022, Marnie listed her career with the show as “court advocate”.

However, she has since left this job and is now launching her own boxing club called Bronx, in South London.

Explaining her decision to do this, Marnie told her Instagram followers: “Walking away from a career that I literally tortured myself to get was hard, but you know what’s harder?

“Staying in a place when you know you have more to give.

“Don’t play it safe, don’t get comfortable and don’t ever settle for less than what you are capable of.

“Be bold enough to close one chapter, in order to open the next.”

What has Marnie Swindells said about The Apprentice?

On March 23, 2023, it was revealed that Marnie was crowned the winner of The Apprentice 2023.

Her community-focused boxing gym, Bronx, will receive a £250,000 investment and 50/50 partnership with Lord Sugar.

She plans to open a boxing gym near the Bank of England in her native London.

Following her win, the 28-year-old said she was “so happy” she would be going into business with the business mogul.

She said: “What an incredible opportunity and moment for a girl like me to get to a place like this and have become Lord Sugar’s business partner.
