RHOP star Gizelle Bryant is in hot water after a recent episode of her and Robyn Dixon‘s Reasonably Shady podcast.
On the April 3 episode of the Reasonably Shady podcast, Gizelle and Robyn were discussing a Fox nation documentary detailing actor Jessie Smollet’s 2019 hate crime hoax that took place in Chicago, IL.
“What he did was, in case you guys don’t remember, was he staged a hate crime,” the Bravoleb explained. “So they were supposed to put a noose around his neck, they were supposed to call him ‘f—got’ or something … gay empire boy or something.”
Gizelle’s decision to use the slur “f—got” didn’t sit well with her co-host and RHOP co-star as she could be heard letting out an audible sigh.
“They were supposed to scream that,” Gizelle clarified in an attempt to fix her faux pas. “These were the words that Jussie gave the trainers to do.”
Despite both Gizelle and Robyn realizing that the mom of three made a mistake by saying the word “f—got” they still kept the slur in the podcast episode, which makes zero sense.
Naturally, the Bravoverse had quite a bit to say about the controversy.
“What a disgusting woman,” one fan commented on Twitter with a second fan adding, “WTF.”
“OMG tAffair-before-filming-for-season-7-began-hints-this-was-the-reason-for-their-wedding-delay/”>his podcast is going to be their undoing,” a third Bravo fans noted while a fourth fan asked, “Who let this past the edit?”
“LMAO her acting like she’s never used that word before,” a fifth fan commented.
“She’s repeating a story where the word was used. I don’t like her, but it’s not a big deal,” one Bravo fan said in Gizelle’s defense.
Another fan also backed up Gizelle, commenting, “She was repeating a statement in the Jussie Smollet documentary. Ya’ll always trying to incite some fake outrage for likes.”
RHOP is expected to return for season 8 in late 2023 or early 2024.
