After announcing the end of their marriage on Friday, March 24, Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon and former superagent Jim Toth officially filed for divorce on Saturday. Witherspoon did the paperwork, according to People, in the Circuit Court of Davidson County near their home in Nashville. The actor and producer cited “irreconcilable differences.”

Witherspoon asked that they share custody of son Tennessee James, who’s 10, per the filing. The document also says the Couple has a prenuptial agreement.

Witherspoon and Toth were married in March 2011 at her ranch in Ojai, California. They would have celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary the weekend following their divorce announcement. Their message, posted on Witherspoon’s Instagram, read, “We have some personal news to share… It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together.”

“Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter,” they added. “These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone’s respect for our family’s privacy at this time.”

Witherspoon also has two children, Ava, 23, and Deacon, 19, from her previous marriage to Ryan Phillippe.
