Before the rehearsal dinner in Italy, Kris, 67, gifted Kourtney her wedding ring from her marriage to Kourtney‘s late Date Robert Kardashian.

Kris was married to Robert from 1978 to 1991 and they shared daughters Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe, and son Rob. Robert died in 2003 following a battle with esophageal cancer. He was 59.

“Wait, look, Mom just gave me her ring that was from Dad,” Kourtney said to sister Khloe, 38, as she showed off the ring.

Kourtney later said that her dad’s death originally made her never want to get married.

“When my dad died, I remember thinking, ‘I never want to get married because my dad isn’t there to walk me down the aisle,’” Kourtney explained. “So that gift meant so much.”

Kourtney also shared what she thinks her dad would have thought about Travis, 47.

“My dad would have loved Travis, and Travis reminds me so much of my dad in the weirdest ways,” Kourtney shared. “I can’t even explain them. I felt his presence, and I think I felt just like a sense of calm.”

Travis also acknowledged Robert in his speech during the couple’s wedding reception.

“Robert, I know you’re here in spirit and so proud,” Travis said.
