Update, 6:14 pm: An additional report from Deadline adds that Majors has been dropped from projects, including the feature film The Man In My Basement and an Otis Redding biopic he had been considering. An ad campaign for the Texas Rangers starring Majors has reportedly also stopped airing.

The original story continues below.

Jonathan Majors is reportedly no longer represented by his longtime management company or public relations firm. Several sources told Deadline the Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star has been dropped as a client by talent manager Entertainment 360, due to “issues surrounding the actor’s personal behavior.” The A-list PR firm the Lede Company also reportedly dropped Majors as a client last month. Majors expected to attend the Met Gala on May 1 as a representative of fashion house Valentino, but will no longer be in attendance after he “mutually agreed” with the brand to skip the event, Deadline says.

On March 25, Majors was arrested in NYC on charges of assault and harassment over an alleged domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman believed to be his romantic partner. He was arraigned the following day. Per the authorities, the alleged victim was taken to the hospital with “minor injuries to her head and neck.” The Manhattan district attorney’s office is reportedly still investigating the alleged incident.

A statement given on March 27 from Majors’s lawyer, criminal defense attorney Priya Chaudhry, said that Majors “is completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows.” She continued: “We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.” The evidence, per Chaudhry, included “video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations.” In the following days, Chaudhry released a purported text exchange between Majors and the alleged victim, in an attempt to clear her client’s name. Through Chaudhry, Majors has denied all charges.

The year begin impressively for the actor, with Majors presenting at the Oscars after starring in two number one box office movies in a row: Ant-Man and The Wasp and Creed III. Majors has already wrapped shooting the second season of Marvel/Disney+’s Loki, in which he reprises his villainous role of Kang the Conqueror from Ant-Man, and was receiving early Oscar buzz for his performance as a bodybuilder in the forthcoming Searchlight film Magazine Dreams. According to Deadline, there have yet to be any internal discussions at Marvel about parting ways with Majors.

As of now, Majors is still reportedly represented by talent agency WME. Entertainment 360, the Lede Company, and WME did not immediately respond to Vanity Fair’s request for comment.
