THE Only Way Is Essex is all set for a massive comeback – and it will be returning to screens sooner than you think.
The Sun can exclusively reveal that the new series of Towie will be hitting ITVBe in less than two weeks.
Show bosses are promising fans that it will be “as drama-filled as ever” and a real “tropical treat” thanks to the cast’s recent abroad trip.
For the first time ever, as we previously told, the gang will jet off to foreign climes midway through the series – rather than at the start.
This year, they packed their teeny bikinis and trunks and headed to the glorious island of Phuket in Thailand to film the explosive scenes.
And the best news is, viewers really don’t have long to wait, as it all kicks off on Sunday March 26.
Rebecca Kenny-Smith, Director of Programming, Lime Pictures said: “This series has been even more exciting as we have mixed things up by introducing our famed abroad trip mid-way through the
series.
“After kicking things off in Essex, viewers will see all the gossip and drama simmering in Brentwood before it erupts alongside the sun-soaked beaches of Phuket.
“With more episodes abroad than ever before, viewers are in for a tropical treat.”
Now into its 31st series, Towie will kick things off in Brentwood, Essex.
The goings on were left on plenty of cliffhangers the last time the show was on screens, including a huge divide between Chloe Brockett and Ella Wise’s friendship groups – thanks to a shocking voice note.
Dan Edgar and Amber Turner’s Relationship was massively rocked by a rumours that he had been unfaithful with Ella, but the Couple have since put the whispers behind them and moved in together.
During a boozy housewarming party, however, tension will dramatically grow when Chloe sees her ex Jordan Brook arrive with his new girlfriend – former Geordie Shore star Sophie Kasaei.
Sparks will no doubt fly as they all come face to face.
Meanwhile, at the end of the last series, Amy Childs and her boyfriend Billy announced they are expecting twins.
With their due Date fast approaching, the couple let the cameras in on their no expense spared, very Towie-esque baby shower.
Show bosses have described the event, thrown by Amy’s cousin Harry Derbidge, as “a baby shower to remember” and fans will get to see it all play out.
But if all that isn’t enough, the Towie cast – minus heavily pregnant Amy – will all board a flight to Thailand for even more drama midway through the series.
It has been said that the abroad trip “will create a perfect storm for tensions to escalate to an all-time high”.
