Mindy Kaling has been on screens and in the public eye for decades, first thanks to her work as a writer and actor on The Office, and later for taking charge in The Mindy Project and more projects, in acting, writing, and producer capacities. She is also the creator of the shows Never Have I Ever and The Sex Lives of College Girls.
Lately, the mom of two has gotten attention for her body, as well as her body of work. When asked by Allure in an interview published Tuesday about her “wellness journey,” including weight loss in recent months, Kaling kindly but firmly shut down the question.
“It’s not super exciting for me to talk about my body and how it’s analyzed,” she said. “So I think I’m just not going to get into it because it takes over the conversation unfortunately and people take it so personally.”
In June, in an Instagram post celebrating her birthday, Kaling wrote that “my doctor told me that this year was the healthiest I’ve been in years,” and said that she stays healthy for her two children, despite “just want[ing] to eat cheesesteaks every meal in front of the TV.”

The Allure interview was in support of a Skincare brand partnership, and Kaling went deep on her multistep skincare routine, including where she goes luxe with her products, and where she saves a few bucks. It also sounds like Kaling is a pore peer to the more forgetful among us: “I often forget eye cream and then go to bed.” Amen.
