Zack Goytowski, 31, minced no words when he was addressing his and Irina Solomonova‘s failed engagement on Love Is Blind during the Season 4 Reunion on April 16. “You did a lot of of things that hurt a lot of people, including me,” he told her during the live reunion. “You only see 10 percent of it on the camera. There was so much stuff that happened that’s just unbelievable,” he continued. “If we’re real, you went on this show to get fans.”
Zack’s bold statement came after Irina, 26, tearfully explained how much she regretted her rude and standoffish behavior toward Zack after they got engaged while blindly Dating in the Love Is Blind pods a year ago. “That’s not the person I wanna be and that I’m not. It’s painful that that’s the image I’m left with on my three weeks of this journey,” she confirmed.
She also confessed that she was immediately turned off as soon as she saw Zack — but said it had nothing to do with his appearance. “[I felt] instant uncomfort. I felt scared, and I didn’t feel safe,” the business owner admitted. She said that while she felt these things, she thought it was only fair to give her Relationship with Zack a chance since they formed such a special connection in the pods.
Although Zack does not believe she took anything seriously from the start, he let her know that he “genuinely” forgives her. “I really don’t hold anything against you,” he stated before addressing fans’ criticism of the cast as a whole. “There’s so many people out there who wanna attack the cast on the show, and you have no idea … everybody who made a mistake on the show has been punished enough for the entire world to see them at their worst,” the criminal defense attorney explained. “We all did something stupid. I 100 percent forgive you, Irina.”
Furthermore, Bliss Poureetezadi, 33, Zack’s other deep connection from the pods who he pursued after his breakup from Irina and to whom he is now happily married, let Irina have a piece of her mind. She directly addressed Irina and said she was “shocked” and “disappointed” from what she saw. “I really hope that you grow from this,” she said. “It’s sad to see someone so wonderful be treated so poorly and I just hope that you can grow.”
“I treated you so poorly, and no one deserved to be treated like that at all,” Irina responded to Bliss’ remarks, adding that she “loves seeing” their relationship blossom.
There were multiple layers to the chat with Irina, including host Vanessa Lachey calling her out for bullying the other women in the house after she herself said she used to be bullied. The wife of co-host Nick Lachey also brought up a leaked text in which Irina told Bliss that she “dodged a bullet” by not being with Zack. However, Zack and Bliss made it clear they’re simply no longer concerned about the drama because they are happy with each other and the life they’re building. Bliss even said she “can’t wait” to have Zack’s kids. Perhaps we will have a Love Is Blind baby in the future!
