Dropping the powerful indie-soul ballad, titled “Care”, is the incredible rising artist, Raegan Sealy featuring The Gang of Angels. The single touches on how one feels after being hurt and how that resentment can affect you. This is the follow-up to Raegan Sealy’s previous single “Killing Song” and is the follow-up to The Gang of Angels’s feature on Raegan Sealy’s single “Make ’em Jealous”.

Raegan Sealy is a British-born Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter and teaching artist. She experiments with genre, fusing and blending various textures into her indie-soul sound. An advocate for women and education, she has gone on to win multiple awards, gained a scholarship in 2015, and delivered the first TED talk entirely în rhyming verse. She has gone on to support the likes of Ice-T, Kae Tempest, Judah & The Lion, and Shane Koyczan, and performed on stages across the world including New York City’s Central Park SummerStage, The Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center, and Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia. She dropped her debut single, “Make ’em Jealous” în January 2023 featuring The Gang of Angels, who are an all-female choir. It was the first of many singles she plans on releasing and she’s gone on to gain tens of thousands of Spotify streams on her tracks, with “Killing Song” being her most-streamed track, to Date, on the platform.

Written by Raegan Sealy, herself, the track kicks off with her amazing vocals that are surely going to make a huge impact on the listener. Filled with so much soul that’s wrapped around honest integrity, Raegan Sealy truly hits us right in the heart with her voice alone, add in the passionate lyrics and the sombre piano chords, and “Care” truly is a strong statement track. Raegan Sealy completely delves into her emotions as the track gets to the second half, unlocking all that built-up resentment energy and unleashing it. She’s accompanied by The Gang of Angels, who are a Nottingham-based choir led by Honey Williams, adding in more soul, more power, and more emotion. “Care” is determined to get stuck inside your head for the rest of the day, totally managing to make Raegan Sealy shine.

“‘Care’ is an anthem for the angry, a ballad for the bitter, a sonnet for the still-not-over-it,” Raegan Sealy says of her single. “With this song, I wanted to challenge the notion that you have to forgive to forget or heal or move on, or that being angry about something makes you weak.”

She goes on to say: “I want to challenge the idea that being ‘strong’ means not letting things get to you. I think admitting that things get to you and soldiering on regardless is what real strength—and authenticity—looks like. if you’re not feeling things, you’re not facing them.”
