Richard Armitage has a full frontal scene in the new Netflix series Obsession and he also has some steamy scenes that required an intimacy coordinator on set.
The 51-year-old actor opened up in a new interview about telling his partner about the content of the series.
Richard spoke with the Evening Standard for a new profile and the outlet noted that he has a “male partner” who he warned about the intimate moments.

“We did talk about it. I reassured him that it was all going to be fine, and we were being well looked after. Charlie [Murphy] and I have met each other’s partners and gone for dinner,” he said.
Richard also talked about discussing the show with other family members.
“A little bit. I just went to work and did my job. A part of me thinks if my mum were still alive I might be saying, ‘This one might not be for you’, but at the same time I think, it’s life, it’s the body. If we were sensationalizing it or making infidelity feel sexy and appealing – which I don’t think we are – we’re really trying not to do that, it’s a different thing… it’s about the sharp edges of the human condition I think,” he said.
In an interview with The Telegraph back in 2020, Richard addressed his sexuality by talking about what he’d need to do to start a family.
“I would need to do it in a way which was either through adoption or surrogacy, because of the nature of my Relationship,” he said. “I’d have to sit down very pragmatically and work it out.”
Back in 2020, Richard said he’s in a “good” relationship, though we still don’t know anything else about his partner, including his name.
