Nick Cannon Explains Why He Doesn’t Try To Bring All His Children Together At Once: ‘Only Person That Would Benefit […] Would Probably Be Me’

Nick Cannon is opening up about what works best for him when it comes to raising 12 kids.

During a recent interview, the “Masked Singer” host explained why he doesn’t like the idea of all his children coming to spend time with him, instead, he would rather go to them.

Nick Cannon said,

“only person that would benefit from having everyone in the same space would probably be me.”

He explained,

“I actually love stepping into their world – going to their sports games or giving them their personal time for the holidays – so I have no problem with bouncing around.”

According to Nick Cannon, he doesn’t want to force his children to come visit him.

“It works to be able to take the time trying to go to them and show the value of being with them and not forcing anyone to come to me.”

Back in December 2022, the actor confessed that his “biggest guilt” stems from his busy schedule and not being able to see his children as often as he would like. He said:

“Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children.”

The “Wild ‘N Out” host shares 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey. Cannon is also dad to sons Golden and Rise Messiah, as well as daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell. He shares son Legendary with Bre Tiesi, daughter Onyx with LaNisha Cole, and three children — daughter Beautiful and twin boys Zion and Zillion — with Abby De La Rosa. Cannon most recently welcomed his 12th child, daughter Halo Marie, with Alyssa Scott in December. He and Scott were also parents to son Zen, who passed away at five months from a brain tumor in 2021.

Nick Cannon recently made headlines for forgetting to name one of his kids during an interview.

In a recent interview with Howard Stern, the comedian was asked if he can list all of his children without forgetting any names. Without hesitation, Nick Cannon said:

“I could name all of – of course! Can’t you name all of your kids?”

Nick Cannon then started to list off his children, beginning with his oldest twins that he shares with his ex-wife Mariah Carey.

“Moroccan and Monroe, which we call Rock and Roll.”

In the video clip of the awkward exchange, the 42-year-old used his fingers to keep track of his children and continued:

“Golden. Powerful. And then Zion, Zillion, Zen.”

He added:

“From there…there’s…Legendary Love, then there’s Rise.”

Despite his best efforts to name all 12 of his children, Cannon forgot to mention his ninth child, Onyx Ice, who he shares withPregnant-with-his-13th-child-you-guys-are-so-used-to-snapback-culture-that-you-cant-let-a-woman-be-at-peace-w-not-losing-her-baby/”> LaNisha Cole.

After Howard Stern let Cannon know he didn’t name all 12 kids, the “Love Don’t Cost A Thing” star defended himself and said:

“Ah, no! You know, I did. You threw me off because I was going in order!”
