In honor of the Trans Day of Visibility on March 31, Jamie Lee Curtis honored her daughter Ruby Guest with a special tribute post on Instagram. The “Freaky Friday” actor posted a photo of her and Ruby smiling as she tilted her daughter’s chin up alongside a caption praising the 27-year-old.

“Love is love. A mother’s love knows no judgment,” Curtis wrote. “As a mother, I stand in total solidarity with my children as they move forward in the universe as their authentic selves with their own minds and bodies and ideas. On this trans visibility day my daughter and I are visible.”

This isn’t the first time Curtis has shown her support for Guest. During a March 12 appearance on the “Today” show, Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie asked the first-time Oscar-winner if she had named her award yet. The “Halloween” actor then revealed she would be using they/them pronouns in honor of her daughter.

She explained, “In support of my daughter Ruby, I’m having them be a they/them. I’m going to just call them them, they/them. And they are doing great; they’re settling in.”

Curtis has long been a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. Most recently, she spoke out against the Tennessee laws targeting trans youth, drag queens, and the rights of the LGBTQ+ community at large. On March 5, she shared an impassioned post on Instagram denouncing the state’s anti-trans laws.

“I STAND WITH THE TRANS COMMUNITY. THE MISSINFORMATION CAMPAIGN MUST BE STOPPED!” she wrote. “It is absolutely F*CKED witnessing the ongoing normalization of eliminationist transphobia. The right’s war on queer people, most specifically trans people, is both bizarre and abhorrent. There is no debate to argue here. Trans people have been here forever and aren’t going anywhere. There is no ideology here. It’s simple. Trans rights are human rights. Anything stating the contrary is wrong.”
