Ex-Pussycat Dolls Member Alleges She Was Forced To Have An Abortion At 19 In Order To Stay In The Group: ‘You’re Just There To Do What They Want You To Do’

Kaya Jones is opening up about some of the alleged traumatic moments she went through while being a part of The Pussycat Dolls.

In a recent interview, former Pussycat Dolls member Kaya Jones spoke out against the “mistreatment” and “abuse” she faced as a member of the well-known girl group. According to reports, Kaya Jones joined the group when she was 19 in 2003. However, despite a few performances with the group and giving vocals on some PCD’s tracks featured in films, Kaya Jones officially left the group in 2004.

There have been debates if Jones can be considered an official member of the group because she left before they released their debut album in 2005.

However, despite her short time under the PCD brand, Jones has been very vocal over the years about how horrible the experience was for her. During her most recent interview, she shared that as a member of The Pussycat Dolls she experienced:

“Abuse. Mistreatment. Constantly discouraged. You’re not enough, you’re never enough. You’re not good enough on any accord. You’re just there to do what they want you to do.”

According to Jones, there’s a reason why only half of the women from the singing group have children today. The 38-year-old continued:

“It’s no coincidence that very few of the women have children.”

She elaborated:

“Google this stuff. Take a look at the women and now Carmit, she’s had a daughter. Jessica’s had a child. I believe Kimberly is now a mom. Majority of the women do not have children.”

As you may know, the version of The Pussycat Dolls that is most recognized today consisted of six women — Nicole Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton, and Kimberly Wyatt.

According to Jones, the ladies of PCD were forced to terminate their pregnancies.

“That’s the pressures and the forcing abortions. You’re fired if you’re Pregnant.”

She continued and claimed she was told to “get rid of it” when it was revealed that she was expecting a child at 19.

As mentioned above, this isn’t the first time Jones has called out the alleged ill management of The Pussycat Dolls. Earlier this year she said she felt like she was part of a prostitution ring during her time in the group. She shared:

“I’ve used words like trafficked or prostitution ring not because we were actually one but because it felt like that. It felt like we were slaves to the evil that runs this planet.”
