Danielle Cabral addresses drama with Melissa Gorga during the season finale of Real Housewives of New Jersey, her reaction to the cheating rumor, and the “tough” trip to Ireland.
On a recent episode of the show, Jennifer Aydin shared a rumor that Melissa kissed another man – and Margaret Josephs was allegedly informed of it and told her then-friend Laura Lee Jensen.
Speaking on HollywoodLife’s “Pay Attention Puh-Lease!” podcast, Danielle shared that she and her co-star Melissa fell into drama by “the very end” of season 13, but she clarified that Teresa wasn’t involved.
“It has nothing to do with Teresa. Anything I do has nothing to do with Teresa,” said the newbie. “This is all based on what people have done to me. I don’t go and like someone or not like someone because of Teresa. This is all things that they have done to me. I don’t play that game.”
She indicated that the drama takes place at the finale party, which was hosted by her co-star Dolores Catania. “That [finale] might be one for the books,” said Danielle, who also fought with Margaret at the event. “And I don’t know what other chapters were in the book. But if I’m gonna call it, that would be one for the books.”
Danielle then shared her reaction to the cheating rumor.
“I was like, ‘Oh man, damn.’ That puts me in a really tight spot because I’m friends with Melissa,” said the 37-year-old. “And it puts everybody in a tight spot. Nobody wants to hear that. I’m not one to bring anybody down, as you can see. People talk crap to me, I’m not gonna run. But then there comes a point where you’re like, ‘Oh god, what do I do here?’ I didn’t even wanna hear it. It sucked.”
She also addressed whether she believed it. “You don’t wanna believe something like that. You don’t wanna believe that because you see the two of them [Melissa and husband Joe Gorga]. On the surface they look like a happy married Couple,” Danielle explained. “You never know what goes on behind closed doors, but on the surface everything was great. Who wants to think that someone’s marriage is gonna implode?”
Danielle said she didn’t enjoy the cast trip to Ireland, where the rumor first surfaced on RHONJ. “Everybody had a blast — except me,” she said. “It was tough for me. It was tough. Ireland is tough and it had nothing to do with this rumor … I’m just gonna say that.”
