Dani, 26, now works as a hair salon owner and is vying for a place in the final on The Apprentice.

A source said: “Dani is no stranger to television as about four years before she went on The Apprentice she tried out for Love Island.

“She did well too and got past the audition stage with ease.

“Dani did all her medicals for Love Island and was ready for action but ultimately she never got her call up for the villa.

“She is a clever woman and knows the exposure would have been great in the long run.

“It is no surprise she applied for The Apprentice as she wanted to get herself out there.

“And she has proved she can make great TV so far.

“The Apprentice likely won’t be the last television show you will see Dani on.”

Every year thousands of wannabes attempt to sign up for Love Island, with bosses sifting through endless audition entries.

A number of contestants never make it to the villa but are instead put on standby.

On The Apprentice Dani is waiting to find out whether she can land a place in next week’s final.

She is facing fierce competition from her rivals Marnie Swindells, Rochelle Anthony, Megan Hornby and Victoria Goulbourne.

Yesterday Megan appeared to hint she had won the hit BBC One show, which is fronted by Lord Sugar, which was filmed months ago.

New accounts relating to Megan, who is the favourite to be crowned Lord Sugar’s business partner, have revealed she has recently closed up shop in Leeds.

She joined The Apprentice off the back of running her own sweet shop, and fans believe the business move could indicate she has been building a fresh start with the billionaire.

Speaking to the Radio Times, Megan, 26, explained why she believed she should win The Apprentice.

Megan said: “I deserve Lord Sugar’s investment because I’ve already proven, at such a young age, that I’m innovative and hard-working. I’ve started a business that has a real niche.
