GMA’s Lara Spencer’s ‘Secret’ Exposed Live On Air By Guest
A guest on Good Morning America made an eyebrow raising comment about Lara Spencer during Wednesday’s live broadcast. Ali Wong appeared as a guest earlier this week to discuss her new Netflix series, Beef, and to share about what she had to do to prepare for her role.
Ali explained that she made the decision to wear a short blonde wig after determining that dying her own hair blonde was “a lot of work.” Ali pointed to Lara while chatting about the subject, implying that she could relate to her predicament when she nudged the 53-year-old to agree.
The daytime host picked up on Ali’s point and replied—”I know you’re pointing at me. You are correct Ali.”
She explained that there was “no shame in the game” and that though she was “not no longer blonde, she was meant to be blonde.”
Ali then asked Lara to disclose her “original Hair color.” The ABC anchor revealed that her natural shade was “white blonde as a kid,” but turned to a mousy color as she grew older.
The production crew applauded and cheered for Lara’s candor after she dished the deets on her hair backstory. However, this wasn’t the first time the TV personality shook up the production team.
Last month, Lara rocked an unexpected fashion choice as she posed alongside a substitute meteorologist. She posted a behind-the-scenes photo with 61-year-old weatherman, Sam Champion, who was filling in for a vacationing Ginger Zee.
Lara Spencer showed off her footwear in the Instagram photo, donning slippers on the GMA set.
“Slippers always work,” she captioned the pic, highlighting a pair of fluffy white slippers.

Last month, Lara Spencer experienced a wardrobe malfunction and gave fans an inside peek in a pre-show video. The anchor uploaded the video to her Instagram Story to promote the show’s upcoming famous guest.
She told fans as she walked around backstage — “A little behind-the-scenes moment here at GMA.”
She quipped, pointing to a brown mark on her white t-shirt—”Number one, little coffee stain.”
She teased — “Which isn’t ideal because…” as the camera shifted to a dressing room door. She added—“Look who’s here today.”
The sign on the door read—”Reserved for Jennifer Aniston.”
Lara Spencer excitedly said — “What!” while zooming in and out on the card printed with the famous actress’ name.
