Who Are 90 Day Fiance’s Kris and Jeymi?
The international couple was first introduced to TLC viewers amid season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, which premiered on January 29, 2023.
“I’m 40 going on 20, because that’s how I feel,” Kris said during a confessional. “And I look like it too.”
The Alabama native has been married twice and has two grown children, daughter Starr and son Dayne.
“I never was happy,” she confessed, adding that she saw a “crazy ad” online for an international dating website. “I have a soulmate from it. She just so happens to be a woman.”
After meeting online and establishing a virtual relationship, the pair met in person for the first time in Jeymi’s home country of Colombia as Kris prepares to uproot her life in the United States for a move south.
“I’ve waited 40 years to be openly in a relationship with a female,” Kris said while packing for her big move. “I don’t want to wait any longer. So, I have decided to move to Bogotá.”
Do 90 Day Fiance’s Kris and Jeymi Get Married?
Just days after meeting in person for the first time, the couple is supposed to be married.
“We both wanted to get married as soon as possible, and this was the first date the venue had,” Kris explained, noting that they agreed to the nuptials before meeting in person for the first time.
The reality star continued, “I’m not nervous at all about doing what everybody else thinks is crazy.”
Despite her children being hesitant about her decision to move to another country, Kris explained, “I got Pregnant at 16. The very first time I had an intimate relationship. I’ve lived for my children, but now it’s time for me to have my own life.”
It’s unclear if Kris and Jeymi made it down the aisle, but Kris remained confident in her decision to marry Jeymi.
“I’m just a woman who waited way too long to be brave enough to stand up for herself and live her life the way she wanted,” her Instagram bio reads. “Now I’m finally free!!!”
The couple faced a roadblock in their relationship when they had to postpone their wedding so that Kris could travel back to the United States for a court date about her stolen motorcycle.
During the March 12 episode, Jeymi explained that Kris leaving reminded her of problems they previously had in their relationship. At one point, the Alabama native ghosted Jeymi before her 30th birthday.
“Eight months ago, Kris was supposed to come see me for my birthday, but she got cold feet,” Jeymi recalled in a confessional. “She disappeared for one month. She no tell me nothing, and I think maybe the relationship is over.”
While they eventually reconciled, she complained that Kris can be “unpredictable.”
Jeymi continued to worry about Kris’ trip to the United States during the March 19 episode. While talking to her friends, she admitted that worried Kris would continue to push back their wedding.
When one friend asked if Jeymi thought she and Kris might not be a match, she fired back by defending their relationship. “It’s obviously not a fairy tale, but we are a couple and I love her,” Jeymi said. “I feel I have to — I want to support her.”
What Is Narcolepsy?
With the pair planning on getting married in a short period of time, Jeymi confessed one of her fears was that she didn’t know how Kris’ narcolepsy condition would affect their relationship.
“She can fall asleep at any time,” the brunette beauty revealed during the February 5, 2023, episode, before confirming the mom of two could fall asleep suddenly mid-phone call. “It has happened to me with her.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, narcolepsy is a sleep disorder that makes people very drowsy during the day, causing them to fall asleep suddenly. The condition can cause serious problems in their daily lives when it comes to working and driving.
“It’s complicated because I don’t know how I can react to certain things,” Jeymi continued. “I don’t know how to identify when she is going to fall asleep. So I really have no idea what it’s like when she’s here.”
Are 90 Day Fiance’s Kris and Jeymi Still Together?
While it’s unclear if the couple officially tied the knot, Jeymi and Kris are seemingly still going strong.
According to Jeymi’s unverified Facebook profile, she is “in a relationship.” Although her relationship status does not specify whom she is in a relationship with, the TLC personalities both follow each other on Instagram.
Kris’ Instagram also hints that the couple is still together. On February 26, 2023, the U.S. native took to social media to share sweet memories taken with Jeymi while in Colombia.
“Yummy food of Colombia!!” Kris shared a photo collage of delicious meals she ate, also including a snap of her fiancée.
On March 28, Kris seemingly confirmed that she and Jeymi are going strong by sharing several photos from their engagement via Instagram as part of an “engagement photo dump.”
